It’s cauliflower season!

So many ways to enjoy!

I read recently that Mark Twain described cauliflower as “cabbage with a college education.”  When I read that I thought, yes, he was right.  You can dress this veggie up so many ways, I don’t know why it took me decades to fall in love and learn more about cauliflower!


At my local farmstand during the late summer-early fall, cauliflower is abundant.  I look for ones that are an even color and a tightly packed round floral head.  Sometimes they even have various colors like purple, orange and even green in addition to the popular traditional white.


But do you know all the different ways you can use cauliflower?  They are more than a “beautiful veggie tray option”.  A few years ago we incorporated a new healthier lifestyle and reset our eating habits.  It was then that I fell in love with cauliflower and all the ways to prepare it, roasted, baked, grilled,  boiled, steamed and even raw.  Since its cauliflower season”  in my neck of the woods, I thought I would share a few tried and true recipes with you!
